Timber Frames Rise at Hirwaun: A Milestone for Affordable Housing

We’re thrilled to share a major milestone on our Hirwaun development: the first timber frames are now standing tall, marking the start of a new chapter for this exciting project.

This scheme, delivered in partnership with Newydd Housing Association, will bring 41 high-quality, affordable homes to the community. Designed with sustainability and modern living in mind, these homes will provide much-needed housing options for local families while supporting Welsh Government’s drive for greener construction.

Timber frame construction is central to our commitment to efficiency and environmental responsibility. Not only does it reduce build time, but it also offers excellent thermal performance, helping future residents keep energy costs down.

As the frames go up, the vision for Hirwaun is becoming reality: a vibrant neighbourhood where people can thrive. Over the coming months, you’ll see the site transform rapidly as we move towards completing the superstructure and preparing for internal works.
